Remediation of PCE-Impacted Soil & Groundwater Beneath Shopping Center, Edmonton, AB

At an active commercial mall in Edmonton, Alberta, ISCO was used to treat soil and groundwater impacted by PCE and its dechlorination byproducts, TCE, DCE, and vinyl chloride. The results of the injection program, which was carried out over a six-month period, reduced the soil and groundwater concentrations of PCE by greater than 98%.

XCG Consultants Ltd. (XCG) conducted a Phase One Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) at the property located at civic address 150 Wellington Street East in Guelph, Ontario (Phase One Property). The findings of the Phase One ESA identified areas of potential environmental concern (APECs) and that a Phase Two ESA was required before a Record of Site Condition (RSC) could be submitted with respect to all or part of the Phase One Property.

Atlas Remediation Project

XCG was retained to assist Niagara Waste Systems with the Atlas Remediation Project. This project required collaboration between the City of Welland and Niagara Waste Systems to re-activate the Atlas Steels Landfill. The re-activation of the landfill included expansion of the service area to Ontario-wide and increasing the fill rate to 5,000 tomes per day.

XCG Recognized with SWR Award!

On Thursday May 1, 2014 a contingent of XCG employees from the Kitchener office met Ron Wu-Winter of the Grand River Conservation Authority at Laurel Creek Conservation Authority in Waterloo; where they planted several dozen small trees in a clearing immediately adjacent to the park entrance off of Westmount Road.
