Closing Date: Open until filledXCG is seeking a Senior Environmental Engineer for our Edmonton office.
As the successful candidate, you will have a minimum of eight years experience in consulting engineering and must be registered as a professional engineer in the Province of Alberta. You have a strong site assessment and remediation background with knowledge of current environmental regulations in Alberta as well as experience in the following areas :
- Designated substances and hazardous materials
- Phase 1 and II site assessments
- Risk assessments
- Environmental compliance auditing
You are self-motivated with strong communication and technical writing skills. It is also essential that you have good interpersonal, problem-solving, organizational, time-management and decision-making skills. Applicants must have the ability to work as a team member and deliver quality work with tight schedules. A demonstrated ability to successfully market environmental consulting services to potential clients in Western Canada is also desired.
As an integral member of our Edmonton team, you will focus on creating innovative and practical solutions to address a wide variety of environmental concerns. The primary responsibilities of this position include:
- Phase I, Phase II, due diligence and risk assessments
- Coordination of environmental site investigation programs
- Coordination of soil and groundwater remediation programs
- Project management, including report writing and technical review
- Business development and marketing initiatives
- Phase 1 and II site assessments
