XCG currently provides Comprehensive Engineering Consulting Services for the Sechelt Landfill.

In 2012, XCG completed the detailed design for the Phase I Closure of the Sechelt Landfill which included a geocomposite side-slope final cover, perimeter road, and stormwater management infrastructure. The overall project included detailed design, tender documents, and construction administration and inspection.

Construction of the project was completed in 2014. Environmental controls constructed included final cover over the north, east, and southeast slopes of the landfill, along with surface water controls and a perimeter road for the site. Surface water controls consisted of surface water ditching, a stormwater pipe, and improvements to the contact water detention pond and forebay.

In conjunction with this project, five environmental groundwater monitoring wells and two landfill gas probes were installed.
