Final Closure of the Pender Harbour Landfill

Based on an order from the British Columbia Ministry of Environment, the Sunshine Coast Regional District (SCRD) was required to close the Pender Harbour Landfill by the end of 2015. XCG was retained by the SCRD to assist with the final closure and the transition of the site to a transfer station facility.

The Saskatoon Waste Management Centre is owned and managed by the City of Saskatoon. The Centre comprises a landfill encompassing an area of approximately 37.4 hectares (both lined and unlined). The landfill accepts approximately 130,000 tonnes of waste per year.

Nanaimo Landfill Detailed Design & Tender Services

The Regional District of Nanaimo had planned to construct new infrastructure in the Regional District of Nanaimo Landfill. The infrastructure consisted of new berms facing Cedar Road, a new administration building near Cedar Road, and a new garage/truck wash facility near the south east portion of the site.
