Jide is one of XCG’s #Expert People. He is currently a member within the XCG Field Staff and has been helping Clients complete projects, as well as solve problems in situ. Jide has been with XCG since July 2019; his areas of experience include soil and groundwater monitoring, remediation, surface water collection and analysis, basic land surveying, benthos biomonitoring, and other fieldwork associated with Phase I & II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs). Along with some report writing, he is also experienced in compiling field observations and analytical data.
Jide currently works as a Field Technician from XCG’s Kitchener, Ontario office location. The field operations Jide partakes in, often include Phase I & II Environmental site assessments, soil remediation, on-going groundwater remediation projects, as well as on-going groundwater monitoring/sampling events. Through these projects, he has had the opportunity to work with and maintain strong relationships with various subcontractors such as drillers, heavy equipment operators, other field technicians and construction foremen.
Jide is also an officially qualified member of the Ontario Benthic Biomonitoring Network (OBBN) and has been involved in a published Macro-Invertebrate study with the U-Links Centre for Community Based Research. When not on the job, Jide can be found training in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu at a local gym, out and about in nature, or flying with the Air Cadet Gliding Program as an instructor. Jide loves to snowboard, canoe, and camp. He is happy to make the best of the great outdoors, as well as the skies.
