Ryan is one of XCG’s Expert People. He is a Project Specialist at XCG, based out of our Kitchener, Ontario office and has been helping clients complete projects and solve environmental problems since June 2021. Ryan attended the University of Guelph and received a Bachelor of Science (Toxicology) and later received his Environmental Engineering Applications Graduate Certificate from Conestoga College.
Since joining XCG, Ryan has conducted field work for projects throughout Ontario, British Columbia, and Alberta. His areas of experience include Phase I & II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), soil and groundwater remediation projects, and groundwater monitoring/sampling events. He has conducted groundwater and soil sampling for industrial, commercial, and residential properties for the presence of various contaminants including metals, petroleum hydrocarbon compounds (PHCs), volatile organic compounds (VOCs), and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs). His experience also includes the supervision and documentation of monitoring well installation, test pits, and remedial excavations, as well as basic land surveying. Ryan also has experience conducting waste audits. Along with some report writing, he is also experienced in compiling field observations, analytical data, and extrapolating data to form conclusions.
Along with his field experience, his eagerness in solving new challenges makes Ryan a valued member of the XCG #ExpertPeople team.
When not on the job, Ryan can be found playing sports, camping, hiking, and spending time with his family.
