Stacey is one of XCG’s Expert People. She’s an Environmental Field Technician within the Environmental Site Assessment and Risk Assessment Group based in XCG’s Kitchener office and has been helping clients solve environmental issues with XCG since the spring of 2020. She has an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Geoscience from Trent University, and earned an Advanced Diploma in Environmental Technology, and a Diploma in Biotechnology from Loyalist College. She is also a registered Geoscientist-in-Training (G.I.T.) with the Professional Geoscientists Ontario (P.G.O.).
Since joining the XCG #ExpertPeople team, Stacey has conducted field work in a variety of projects across Southern Ontario. She has assisted with soil and groundwater sampling and remediation programs, Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), and building condition assessments (BCAs). She has been actively involved in the planning, field work, and reporting for several Phase I ESAs in compliance with Canadian Standards Association (CSA) Z768-01 Standard. Additionally, she has completed a 40-hour building condition assessment training program and executed site visits, compiled documentation, and written BCA reports for several commercial, industrial, and mixed-use properties.
Stacey has a strong field experience background in remediation and monitoring projects such as the excavation and removal impacted soils, and conducting groundwater and soil sampling for the presence of contaminants such as metals, petroleum hydrocarbon compounds (PHCs), volatile organic compounds (VOCs), and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) with strict adherence to quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) protocols and chain of custody procedures. Her experience also includes the supervision and documentation of a variety of field activities including borehole advancement and soil logging, monitoring well installation, deep and shallow injection well installation, and test pit excavation.
Stacey is a valued member of the XCG #ExpertPeople team. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, kayaking, gardening, wildlife and mineral photography, and spending time with friends and family. In the winter, Stacey can be found at the gym, snowshoeing, skating or playing pond hockey. Stacey is always happy to support your environmental needs.
