With the ever changing landscape of technologies and regulatory climate in Site Remediation, XCG has evolved into a leader providing services tailored to our clients’ needs. We specialize in cost-benefit analysis, detailed remediation planning, and remediation to generic or risk assessed criteria.

The acceptance of many new in-situ remediation methods and technologies as well as risk assessments by regulators and financial institutions allows property owners options for managing environmental risks. As such, XCG can develop detailed remedial plans that offer innovative, practical and cost-effective solutions to our clients.

With over 30 years of experience, our team of dedicated engineers and scientists is viewed as having the hands-on expertise to address all types of contaminants in all environmental media.

The following list includes many of the active alternatives that XCG can and has employed for our clients:

- In-situ chemical oxidation (ISCO);
- Multi-phase extraction (MPE);

- Soil vapour extraction (SVE);
- Groundwater pump-and-treat (P&T);
- Monitored natural attenuation (MNA);
- Bioremediation and enhanced bioremediation;
- Soil washing; and
- Excavation and off-site disposal.

XCG has an extensive network of well-qualified environmental contractors and suppliers who can assist in providing the turn-key solutions required for a successful remediation project.

Where active remediation is either highly complicated and/or cost prohibitive, XCG has the extensive experience in completing Human Health and Ecological Risk Assessments and establishing Risk Management Plans. Risk Assessments can often be completed alone or in combination with many of the active remediation strategies listed above.

XCG’s team of engineers and scientists can effectively assess the risks associated with all contaminants and determine the acceptability of a contaminant to remain in place with or without implementation of engineered risk management measures.
