XCG conducted a Solid Waste Composition Study for the Sunshine Coast Regional District in 2022. The data from the study was used to determine the effectiveness of established diversion programs and identify types of solid waste to be targeted for future diversion initiatives.

Regional District of Bulkley-Nechako Solid Waste Characterization Study

XCG conducted a Solid Waste Characterization Study (the study) for the Regional District of Bulkley-Nechako (RDBN) between 2022 and 2023. The purpose of the study was to determine the composition of solid waste sub-regionally and more specifically to identify the types and quantities of materials that are available for diversion and local recycling in the Bulkley-Nechako region of British Columbia.

XCG was retained by Haldimand County to complete the design, and provide services during construction for final three phases of the landfill gas collection and flaring system at the Tom Howe landfill.

XCG was originally retained by the Regional District of Bulkley-Nechako in 2010 to complete the Landfill Gas Assessment for the Knockholt Landfill. Since then, XCG and the Regional District of Bulkley-Nechako have established a long-standing relationship lasting over 10 years completing more than 40 projects at the Districts 8 landfills.

XCG was originally retained by Regional District of Nanaimo in 2006 to complete a Short-term Development Workshop for the Staff of the Nanaimo Regional Landfill. Since then, XCG and the Regional District of Nanaimo have established a long-standing relationship lasting over 13 years completing more than 100 projects at the Nanaimo Regional landfill.
