Akshay Anilkumar

Akshay is one of XCG’s Expert People. He is a Project Specialist, based out of our Kitchener, Ontario office and has been helping clients solve environmental problems since March 2023. Akshay attended Western University and received a Master of Engineering specializing in Environmental and Water Resources.

His areas of experience include detailed designs for landfill and stormwater management projects, hydrological modeling, environmental site assessment (ESA), soil and groundwater projects, land surveying, compiling field observations and analytical data, and reporting. Akshay’s field activities often include Phase I & II ESAs, soil remediation, groundwater remediation, and ongoing groundwater monitoring/sampling events. He has conducted groundwater and soil sampling for industrial, commercial, and residential properties for the presence of various contaminants including metals, petroleum hydrocarbons (PHCs), volatile organic compounds (VOCs), and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs). His experience also includes oversight and documentation of site remediation activities.

Akshay’s commitment and passion for his role, along with his eagerness to solve problems makes Akshay a valued member of the XCG #ExpertPeople team.

When not on the job, Akshay can be found hiking, playing cricket, watching soccer games, and spending quality time with family and friends.
