Rebecca Bach

Rebecca is one of XCG’s Expert People. She’s a Project Manager at XCG, based out of their Kitchener, Ontario office and has been helping clients solve environmental issues with XCG since 2006. She has a degree in Environmental Engineering from the University of Guelph and is a licensed Professional Engineer in Ontario.

Rebecca has built a wealth of project management experience at XCG. Her ability to successfully navigate scope, schedules and budgets in close liaison with clients, contractors, staff, and regulatory representatives is why she is often asked to be involved in projects. Rebecca takes pride in being able to listen to, and understand, a client’s needs in order to provide them with the technical data and solutions they require to make informed business decisions about their property or facility.

Rebecca is a multi-disciplinarian with a focus on environmental site assessment (ESA) and soil and groundwater remediation projects. She has conducted and managed numerous Phase I and Phase II ESAs for both due diligence purposes in accordance to the Canadian Standards Association (CSA) Z768-01 Standard and for the purpose of obtaining a Record of Site Condition (RSC) in accordance with O.Reg. 153/04 at residential, commercial, industrial and agricultural properties. Rebecca also has strong in-the-field experience with remedial projects such as excavation of hydrocarbon impacted soils, in-situ groundwater treatment, groundwater pump and treat systems, and monitored natural attenuation. She has wide-ranging and varied project management experience from ESAs and RSCs to designated substances and hazardous materials surveys (DSHMS) and Environmental Compliance Approvals (ECA) for Air Emissions and Air Emissions Environmental Activity and Sector Registry (EASR).

Rebecca a valued member of the XCG #ExpertPeople team. She’s also a proud Gryffindor, who in her spare time can be found socializing with friends and family. In the summer Rebecca is often playing golf and rounding the bases in slo-pitch softball. In the off-season, she’ll be watching basketball, creating with Lego, and watching movies about dinosaurs.
