Tanya is one of XCG’s Expert People. She’s a Senior Project Manager at XCG, working out of XCG’s Kitchener, Ontario office and has been helping clients solve environmental issues since 2002. She has a degree in Biological Engineering from the Dalhousie University, a Bachelor of Science from St. Mary’s University and is a licensed Professional Engineer in Ontario, Alberta, and Nova Scotia. She is also a Qualified Person for Environmental Site Assessment (QPESA) in accordance with Ontario Regulation – Record of Site Condition – Part XV.1 of the Act (O. Reg. 153/04).

Tanya has built a wealth of project management experience since beginning her career at XCG. Her ability to successfully navigate scope, schedules, and budgets in close liaison with clients, contractors, staff, and regulatory representatives is key to her successful completion of numerous projects. Tanya takes pride in being able to listen to, and understand, a client’s needs in order to provide them with the technical information and solutions they require to make informed business decisions about their site.

Tanya is a multi-disciplinarian with a focus on Brownfield redevelopment and remediation projects. She has conducted and managed numerous Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) for both due diligence purposes in accordance to the Canadian Standards Association (CSA) Z768-01 Standard and for the purpose of obtaining a Record of Site Condition (RSC) in accordance with O. Reg. 153/04 at residential, commercial, and industrial properties. Her considerable project management experience encompasses portfolio clients with multiple and simultaneous assignments and large complex remedial projects with numerous stakeholders. Tanya also has extensive experience with investigations at high voltage electrical environments, as well as remedial projects including excavation, in-situ soil and groundwater treatment, groundwater pump and treat systems, and monitored natural attenuation.

Tanya is a valued member of the XCG #ExpertPeople team. In her time away from the office she can be found in Nova Scotia visiting family and soaking up the sea-salt air or in the kitchen whipping up sweets, especially for causes like the humane society.
